Is there a chance of humans living forever? If so, is Raymond Kurzweil going to be the first one to test it out. If computers are getting faster and faster and smarter and smarter at a rate that is increasing constantly, at one point they will be smarter than human intelligence. What will happen to humans when computers are so smart they dont need humans anymore. As computers continue to get smarter, will they be able to make a program to where they could make humans immortal. If so, humans will be able to live forever. Raymond Kurzweil predicts that the end of human civilization as we know it is 35 years away. Is this true? Will the human race end in 35 years because of computers continuing to get smarter. Is this why Kurzweil is trying to make humans immortal.
Since computers are getting smarter at a rapid paste, we are to believe they will control the human race.If computers do end up controling the human race, how will it be? Will they make the humans there slaves, will they make us work on them to help make them even smarter then before. The only way we would ever know is if this actually happened which i doubt anyone would ever want this to happen. We could say we dont want this to happen but we dont control the future and computers continue to get smarter so it could happen whenever.
As life goes on, computers will get smarter each an everday because how advanced technology is these days. Humans these days rely on technology so much that they continue to want to newest computers, cell phones. ipods ect. We humans keep asking for the newest of everything so as we keep asking, technology will get more advanced over the years and could be so advanced that it could think and opperate on its own. Do humans know this is a possibilty this could happen? Should humans know this could happen? Only time can tell.

In 1781, a french - american immigrant by the name of Hector St. Jean de Crevecouer wrote a letter by the name of "The American". Two centuries later, an american journalist name James Fallows writes an article named " Immigration: How It's Affecting Us". Both of these writings where written in two different time periods but still have the same main idea about immigration and how the United States hasn't made any progress in stopping illegal immigration. Fallows wrote a book that was about a 30 year old vietnamese man moving to the United States and couldnt speak any english. After working numerous hard working jobs, Mr. Nguyen was able to support himself in the United States.
In Fallows book, you see one of de Crevecouer's quotes used in it. The quote "new life" best fits in this book because it helps define what the "old life" might have been. Fallows book shows and explains to us how immigrants get over hre and they survive. Immigrants usually work 2 to 3 jobs just so they can support themselves. Immigrants work ten times harder than americans because they want it more and they need it more just so they can live in the United States. When an immigrant gets over to the United States, they are so shocked and excited with everything that is going on in the states. Technology, buildings, places to eat ect. are out of this world to immigrants because they probably where poor from where they came from and didnt have anything. Immigrants will work any job, it doesnt matter if they excel in that job or they have never done it before, immigrants will do any kind of job just to make more money. Americans don't like having immigrants over in the United States because it takes away there jobs which means they aren't getting any money and they have to go find a nother job.
Americans and immigrants are constantly in a competition of competing for jobs. Honestly, i think immigrants shouldn't be allowed in the United States because they are illegal. They have no right in being over here. I believe they should only be allowed if they are legal and an american citizen. If there an american citizen, then they should be able to compete with other americans to get jobs. If they are still illegal, they shouldnt be able to apply for jobs until they are legal and american citizen.
